Many gynaecologists have advised women with sensitive skin to use natracare in order to reduce their contact with chlorine bleached materials, and also products containing synthetics, latex and super absorbents made from petrochemicals.

All products are totally-chlorine free and women can be reassured by the fact that Natracare does not contain any synthetic materials or any chemical additives such as surfactants, fragrances, dyes, or lubricants. Choosing only fully certified organic cotton removes the risk of direct exposure to residues from chemical pesticides, fertilisers, defoliants and fungicides commonly used on conventionally grown cotton.

Many wet wipes widely available contain harsh foaming agents like sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), as well as preservatives such as phenoxyethanol, which is linked to dermatitis, and the parabens, recently flagged up as a concern for health. Parabens, including methyl, propyl, butyl and ethyl paraben, are just one of a large group of toxic chemicals that no-one has any idea about what the long term effects are likely to be if they are used every day on the skin.
